Family Photo Sessions

Family photo sessions can be done at any time of the year, but are usually most popular in the Fall and in the Spring. Each photo session is customized to your family, no matter what that looks like. Whether you need only 15-20 minutes, or 90 minutes, we can schedule something that is right for you. Are there only two people in your family? Do you have a family of twelve? Do you want pictures of just your kids? Does your family come complete with some fur babies? Do you want a session for your entire extended family? Do you want to book back to back sessions for two different families? We can do that!

Each family photo session is done at the location of your choice, on the day you want, and at the time you choose, (all within reason). Your photographer will work with the members of your family to make them comfortable and have a fun and stress-free photo shoot. Usually photo sessions are done without props, using just the beautiful scenery around you as a backdrop, but if there is something special you want included in your session, just ask!

While we don’t style your family, we are always able to answer questions about color, clothing, hair, makeup, and location choices.

When your session is done, it usually takes about 10-14 days before you will see an email in your inbox telling you that your pictures are ready for viewing. You are then able to pick the photos you love the most, which are made available for high resolution download straight to your computer. Pricing for prints can be provided at your request, but otherwise you are free to use whatever printer you prefer, or just keep the images digitally for viewing on any device.

Mini Family
Session

15 Minutes - Indoor or Outdoor

A quick mini session is great when you don’t need a lot of variety or don’t need a large quantity of pictures.

A lot of people choose a mini session for Holiday photos, like Christmas, Hannukah, Easter, or Halloween, or for when they just want to get a few pictures of their kids together.

Mini sessions can be done outdoors or at an indoor studio with a backdrop and props. This type of sessions usually yields 3-5 high resolution digital images for instant download.

Typical Family
Session

30-60 minutes Outdoors

A typical family session is for one immediate family up to 8 people (additional people can be added at a per-person charge).

Family sessions are great for getting a variety of shots on multiple backgrounds. These sessions are done on location, at outdoor venues. Family sessions are often used to document a family’s growth each year, other year, or few years.

Depending on the length of the session, a typical family session would yield anywhere from 8-20 high resolution digital images for instant download.

Extended Family Session

30-90 minutes outdoors

An extended family session includes multiple families and is priced according to how many families, and how many people are involved.

Extended family sessions are great for when you have family in town, family reunions, or for documenting multiple generations at once. Extended family sessions are done on location, at outdoor venues.

Depending on the how many people are involved and the length of the session, an extended family photoshoot can yield anywhere from 20-35 high resolution digital images for instant download.
