Child Portrait Sessions

Child portrait sessions are perfect when you have one or more child that needs photos, but it’s not time for family photos yet. Birthdays and other milestones (first steps, missing teeth, sitting up unassisted, and more), are a great time to document memories.

Child portrait sessions can be done indoors at the studio, with a simple setting or with something more complex. They can include a special toy, or a themed background. If you would rather use nature as a backdrop, they can be outdoors on location. A usually session lasts about 15-20 minutes for one child, and can go up to 45 minutes if you have multiple children that need to be photographed.

When your session is done, it usually takes about 10-14 days before you will see an email in your inbox telling you that your pictures are ready for viewing. You are then able to pick the photos you love the most, which are made available for high resolution download straight to your computer. Pricing for prints can be provided at your request, but otherwise you are free to use whatever printer you prefer, or just keep the images digitally for viewing on any device.

Single Child
Portrait Session

15-20 Minutes

If you have one child that needs photos done, or just want to feature one of your children for photos, a single child portrait session is right for you. Single child portrait sessions are often done for a child’s birthday to document their growth, but not for a themed birthday or cake smash session. These types of sessions are most often done outdoors, but can also be done indoors in a studio setting.

Single child portrait session last about 15-20 minutes (which is about the attention span of the subject), and work with the child to capture his/her personality in the photos. A parent is required to be at the session, but does not need to give the child direction or be in the photos.

Single child portrait sessions would yield about 8-10 high resolution digital images for instant download, delivered about 7-10 days after the date of the session.

Multiple Children
Portrait Session

30-45 minutes

Multiple children portrait sessions can feature anywhere from 2-6 children. If you have more than 6 children, we can work with you to set a per person extra cost to cover those children. If you want to have a session with cousins, or friends, one parent would have access and printing rights to those photos. If you want more than one family to have access, we can set up an extra gallery fee so everyone involved can have printing rights.

Multiple children portrait sessions usually last 30-45 minutes, depending on how many children are involved. These sessions are typically done outdoors, especially if you have a larger number. The indoor studio space is not very large, but can be utilized for smaller numbers if desired.

Depending on the length of the session, you can expect to receive anywhere from 10-20 high resolution digital images for instant download, delivered about 7-10 days after the date of the session.

Simple Milestone/Birthday
Portrait Session

20-30 Minutes

A simple milestone/birthday portrait session is used for those special moments that need extra documentation. Did you child just learn how to sit up on her own? Are both your child’s front teeth missing and you just HAVE to have photos? Then this type of session is right for you.

A simple milestone/birthday portrait session is different than a themed session, as the backdrop is very simple. Your indoor session could be with a plain backdrop and your child’s favorite toy, blanket, stuffed animal, or a small amount of props. Or this session could be outdoors at a special location, or with a balloon, toy, etc. These sessions do not include a change of clothing.

Simple milestone/birthday portrait sessions usually last 20-30 minutes and yield about 8-10 high resolution digital images for instant download, delivered about 7-10 days after the day of your session.

Themed Milestone/Birthday
Portrait Session

30-45 Minutes

Themed milestone/birthday portrait sessions are more complex than a simple session. These session often include a clothing change, extra props, or a full studio setup, and sometimes even a cake smash. (Cake provided at an extra cost, or you can bring your own). Themed sessions can feature outdoor photos AND indoor photos at your request, or just stick to one location for the entire session.

The most popular themed sessions are 1st birthdays and cake smash sessions, but you could also do a themed session for Easter, Christmas, Halloween, or anything else you desire.

Themed milestone/birthday portrait sessions usually last 30-45 minutes, to give you time to change your child’s clothes, or to set upscene changes. These sessions usually yield 15-20 high resolution digital images for instand download, available about 7-10 days after your session date.
